Prator: I haven't bought the GOG version, but I'm curious to know whether or not it has the same flaws.

I haven't run into any crashing issues in the 20 or so game hours I've put in, although reading through a few threads here some others seem to have had some issues, and I've personally had some issues with movement speeds (character speed becomes ridiculously fast when I play after my computer has been running for a while). Nothing I've run into poses any lingering problem that detracts from the fun of the game though.
Umm... it looks like the price has come down to 5.99, guys. Certainly you could shell out one buck more for the GOG version.
I'm a cheap b*stard, but COME ON... ;-)

The price has come down to $5.99, but I would have rather paid $9.99 through GOG than $4.99 through Steam anyway. If you wouldn't rather do that, then vote with your dollars and buy the Steam version. I don't think you should rate a good game down to one star through because you found it cheaper somewhere else.
AVATAR:/_t2 #Q&_^Q&Q#USERNAME:jeremya#Q&_^Q&Q#GROUP:4Steam has Arx Fatalis for $4.99. Granted, it has no DRM here as well as the rest of the goodies... but it's only fair to point out that it's currently $5 more from GOG.

This "review" should be modded down or removed, since he clearly did not review the game.
I bought Arx from GoG for $4.99. It seems that the price is country dependent.

Are you sure it wasn't $5.99?
No price on GOG is country-dependent; it's just that, being the cool people they are, they lowered the price to be closer to that of Steam.

You're right, just checked the catalogue and it's indeed $5.99.
