Arkane Studios is a French company and handled the English localisation personally, so if anything they are poking fun at their own country.

Hguols: You can get a whole chicken from nuking a pig?
Yup. Apparently the fireball takes all the feathers, the feet, and the head off, and roasts the entire bird very nicely. It's like a medieval deep-fryer without the fat.

Fireballs are the Colonel's real secret recipe ingredient. ;)
Ah, so true.
I used overly harsh wording to get my message across. I don't think they are actually being racist in any sort of harmful way, but that chef is such an over-the-top stereotype that I just had to laugh. Like, the little song he sings to himself sounds so much like somebody's idea of what French chefs sound like.
Oh, man. Come on! In the middle of all this serious (albeit mediocre) voice acting is this clumsy, exaggerated caricature. It's out-of-place and thus hilarious.
Hm, I've actually got some roast chicken in the fridge right now....

Prator: You can "Cook" a whole chicken by throwing a fireball at it. It must be a full-blown fireball, too, not merely a magic missile or a bolt; a chicken that gets hit with a fireball transforms into a full roasted chicken. I recommend this method of cooking over simply killing the chicken; you generally only get a raw drumstick if you hack it up before roasting.

Heh, this made me smile. Why don't we get this kind of stuff in more games?

I still don't understand how nuking a pig will give you a roasted chicken.

Because everything tastes like chicken. ;)

Except for the chicken in my local fried chicken takeaway, ironically.

We have no KFC here and Nandos is the other bloody side of town :(

Edit: Typotronic failure.
