The 504 and gorilla e2 cars are still locked for the Group S season even though their 1984 and 1985 prerequisite seasons have been completed & won (1st place) each.

patocarr: Strange graphical issue on Linux. The trees don't show next to the road, but I can see them disappearing as they get closer. I've tried the settings and I can make them all disappear or when set to max graphics, they look closer but never close to the car. I end up crashing to invisible trees next to the road. I can see other objects just fine, like trucks, people, building and fences.
Running Fedora 31, i7-8700k CPU, AMD Navi14 5500XT, 64GB RAM.

Some messages from Player.log that may be relevant:

Warning: Cannot find VegetationSystemPro object to set quality settings. Can be safely ignored if not in a stage
Fallback handler could not load library /home/pcarr/Games/art_of_rally/game/artofrally_Data/Mono/libudev.so

The libudev.so file is not present where shown, or anywhere in the system.

Thanks in advance,
-Pat

This is to do with older AMD GPUs not supporting indirect rendering. Can you update to the latest Mesa drivers?

Build setting issue, we have a fix.

This may be due to a save issue we're having. Working on it!

We pushed an update to fix the save game issues you've all been having - let me know if there's further issues.

Hi @funselektor,

Appreciate your response. I'm enjoying the game but it would look a lot better with nearby vegetation rendering.

The graphics card is an AMD RX 5500XT, released late last year (2019).
As far as mesa drivers, the system is running Mesa 19.2.8 as packaged by Fedora 31 also released last year.

This is to say, the system is quite new so your diagnostic may not be accurate in this instance. Any other suggestions?
I am expecting GoG version 1.0.3 to hit the download servers to test further.

Thanks again,
-Pat
Hi folks,

I have some updates on the issues on Fedora 31 with mesa 19.2.8. I have tested Fedora 32 with mesa 20.1.8 (iirc) and the issue persists, but with Fedora 33 beta (out in a couple of weeks) with mesa 20.2.0, the graphics look as expected. Quite gorgeous I might add!

So @funselektor, your diagnostic was on point.

Thanks again,
-Pat
Hi,

Trees are totally invisible in game for me (which is reaaally frustrating as you may imagine).

I tried to play with in-game graphical settings, but no chance.

I wanted to make a bug report on artofrally.com, but the report bug functionality doesn't seem to work (at least on firefox).

AoR version is 1_0_5c_42614

Graphical conf as outputted in Player.log :

Renderer: Mesa DRI Intel(R) Iris(R) Pro Graphics P5200 (HSW GT3)
Vendor: Intel Open Source Technology Center
Version: 4.5 (Core Profile) Mesa 21.0.0-devel (git-b3504f4 2020-11-29 focal-oibaf-ppa)

Other conf:

Ubuntu 20.04.1
RAM: 15.6 GiB
Proc: Intel® Core™ i7-4750HQ CPU @ 2.00GHz × 8
Hi,

taking more than one screenshot using F12 in photo mode closes the game when running it through Galaxy. This does not happen when running the exe directly or after deactivating the Galaxy overlay. I'm guessing there is interference with Galaxy's own screenshot function, which is also used with F12.

MikeMaximus: You can report bugs directly on their website:
http://www.artofrally.com/
Click the blue "Report a Bug" button on the right-hand side and fill out the form.
The button wasn't working for some people and it appears it was removed on 21st December. And the website for me cannot load with www. so I have to use http://artofrally.com/

An0nx: Hey all, I'm the GOG dev for Funselektor.
How do we report bugs from now on then? I have about 10 issues with art of rally (some of them might not be caused by the game). The Linux version still being completely unplayable is one of them.

It would be a terrible present, so I'll wait until after Christmas before reporting them. I just need to know where to report them. I promise.

Happy holidays, devs and everyone! :D

the best place to report bugs currently is the funselektor discord server, in the bug reporting or gog channels. the more detail you can provide of your issue, the easier and faster it can be addressed. discord supports uploading of images, files, and even video to help demonstrate your bug.

here's the link

That's great, but I don't have a discord. Is this the only option?

the bug reporting form and button are available again on the art of rally website for your bug reporting needs! :D

Bug Reporting Form
If you have a bug to report, please submit it using the blue button on the right side of http://artofrally.com - make sure to read the information at the top of the form - the more information we collect about the bug the better chance we have of squashing it! Thank you!

So I'm greeted by this "If you'd like to help us speed up the bug processing even further, please try selecting the corresponding Component from the drop-down menu:", but the drop-down list for Component is not working.

Also when I click the question mark button a "Text Formatting Notation Help" window opens over the bug reporting form and there's no way to close it. If I click the Back button on the browser, the form is reset.

And am I supposed to receive a notification or a confirmation email that the bug report is received?

apologies for the slow reply but i wanted to verify some information to provide you the best answer.

regarding the drop down menu; the bug reports submitted on the website are submitted to the bug tracker database. this means the functionality of the drop down is dependent on 3rd party cookies being enabled. without enabling 3rd party cookies, my suggestion would be to skip that part and submit your bugs without it.

the easiest solution to the text formatting notation help would be to right click on the ? question mark and select open in new tab. this way the notation help is available without interfering with your report.

there is no automated confirmation email sent if you have optionally provided your email but someone from the team may contact you if further information is needed. once you press submit on the form, there will be a submission confirmation message.

thanks for your interest in making the game better by submitting your bugs!
