The games have to two identical versions of their offline installers. The files have the same size and name. Does anyone know what's up with this?

Contact support, its probably a fuck up of some kind.
Yes I can confirm there is an issue. We are downloading the same file twice, with the second overwriting the first.

ARMA: Cold War Assault (Part 1 of 2) 1.0 513 MB
ARMA: Cold War Assault (Part 2 of 2) 1.0 513 MB

Both are - setup_arma_cold_war_assault_1.0_(36421).exe

Normally with two parts, the second one is a BIN file.

as in - setup_arma_cold_war_assault_1.0_(36421).bin

So either there is just one EXE file for the game and no BIN file, and the stated game size of 1 GB is wrong.
Or there is two files, but they haven't created the link to the BIN file correctly.

I've yet to check what seems to be a similar error for the Gold Edition.

Yes, a somewhat similar error for the Gold Version.

ARMA: Gold Edition (Part 1 of 4) 1.0 1 MB
ARMA: Gold Edition (Part 2 of 4) 1.0 3.8 GB
ARMA: Gold Edition (Part 3 of 4) 1.0 1 MB
ARMA: Gold Edition (Part 4 of 4) 1.0 3.8 GB

It appears they have doubled up again, and the listed game size of 7.7 GB is probably wrong.

Further to this, while it is easy to assume they have just accidentally doubled up, that doesn't explain the file size and checksum errors as returned by 'gogrepo.py'. One would expect, that if the files are duplicated, then so would the sizes and checksums be.

So the real state of affair needs clearing up.
I see there is still no change, so either Support hasn't been contacted or they don't really respond much on weekends.

It also occurs to me in regard to the files, that perhaps one lot were meant to be 32 bit and the other 64 bit, and they made the mistake of not naming the files correctly to reflect that. The fact that there appears to be two checksums for each file, suggests that there is meant to be two files for each.

There must be many who have bought these two games and are wondering what is going on.
Though many are probably making assumptions about what has happened.
Many of course, will install straight away and play.
Me, I archive and have a huge backlog of what I want to play, so any new acquisition is unlikely to get installed any time soon. Not to mention that my life is full of other interests and responsibilities.

Playing more games is only an ambition right now, and not a reality yet. Especially as I am always getting sidetracked.

No one really works weekends, but I will file a ticket tonight when I get home.
noted, will try to investigate

Is it possible some are 32-bit and some are 64-bit installers?

There are other games in my library that act like this.

Unlikely in this case that the 32-bit and 64-bit versions would have the EXACT same file sizes, plus it's for both games. Seems like a mess up with the file upload...

I did mention that possibility in my third reply above.
But you also need to understand that the file names are identical, so that is an error in itself ... if you download both, one after the other, the second download overwrites the first, because of that identical file name.

I have many games in my library that have 32 bit and 64 bit variants, and each download is named accordingly or at least one of the pair has 32 or 64 somewhere in the file name.

Then there is the identical file size as mentioned. The 64 bit file should be somewhat larger.

UPDATE
I've just checked both games and they have been corrected, with duplicate entries removed.
They also changed the file size on one of the store pages, from 1 Gb to 513 Mb, but must have forgotten to correct the other, which is still showing 7.7 Gb, when it should be 3.8 Gb.

My file sizes read differently for Cold War:

525,714kb
525,963kb

and ARMA

EXE:

875kb
876kb

BIN:

3,952,509kb
3,957,797kb

maybe an error during download on my part?

Terribly sorry for that oversight on my half.

Thanks for sharing the info.
I was gonna check that, but instead adopted a wait and see stance, because I wanted greater clarity anyway.
