Just installed and tried it with default settings (win10). There's a mouse issue.

At first, the mouse sensitivity was way too high. Like left edge of screen to right edge with a 5mm mouse movement.

Managed to turn the sensitivity down in the settings as far as they will go, and it's improved, but still too sensitive. Also, slow movements don't seem to register at all. I can move the mouse slowly for quite a distance with no response on the screen, then when I move the mouse a little quicker, it just takes off and is too fast.

This is game breaking. I just about managed to complete the tutorial, but the first mission is just a pointless and frustrating exercise. I ended up shooting my squad mates because they were the only things I could hit.

I'm also getting awful stutters that just make it worse. I have a decent spec PC that has no trouble with modern games.

Anyone else had this issue? Is there a solution?
Solved the stutter by reducing texture quality. Mouse issue is still a game breaker though.
Ok. I think I'm zeroing in on the problem.

When this game was made, mice were less sensitive (lower DPI). My Logitech M310 has 1000 DPI, which is about three times more than the game is expecting, and it's unchangeable.

The game seems to communicate directly with the mouse and keyboard, bypassing the OS. That's why changing the mouse speed (DPI scaler) in the windows settings has no effect in the game.

AutoHotkey is usually my go-to for stuff like this, but although it works perfectly for on-the-fly mouse sensitivity control, it has no effect in the game for the forementioned reason.

It could be that the only solution is to purchase another mouse with changeable DPI. Unfortunately, this is not a great option for me since I use a wireless keyboard+mouse combo.

If anyone knows about any patches, or other bright ideas, I'd love to know.
SOLVED!

The download links don't seem to work I get an 404 error. Is there any other way to download the mod?
A working link is provided near the end of the thread. Hopefully I'm not breaking any rules by copying it here:

Click the download icon in the top right.

I make no guarantees about file safety. You'll have to establish that to your own satisfaction. But I can tell you that it has not triggered a firewall warning, so it's not accessing the net.

I don't think that's what causes the problem. There were razer 1000 and 2000 dpi ball mice* back then and it didn't seem to be a problem. Maybe the sensitivity was adjusted through the mice drivers or onboard functions.
