I just decided to reobtain this amazing game after having losing my disk. I have an issue though. I try to run the game and the screen flashes black for a second then im back at my desktop. I tried compatability mode, reinstalling, updating, everything i can think of to no avail. Does anyone have any clue how to fix this?

Make sure you haven't installed it to the Windows' protected 'Program Files' folder structure. If you have, uninstall it and re-install to somewhere else, like C:\Games\ .

I will check on that, I don't believe I have it installed there but I will try reinstalling
*edit* reinstalled- Black screen stays a little longer, still brings me back to desktop

Hmm did not hear of that problem yet, you should write to the GOG tech support (they do not normally read the forums).
