Allow me to start by saying that I love this game and that I wish I had bought it thirteen years ago when I remember walking past it on the shelf in Babbages

My favorite so far to play, though one my perfectionism has not allowed me to finish the game with, is an all-arounder tech rifleman, but I had a question to you other gunslingers

how often would you say you use Called Shots and to what parts (hand, head, legs)?
i almost never do, i just use potions of haste to give me a massive rate of fire so i can kill things before they reach me, and molotovs and spike traps for crowd control
Whenever I play a gun-using character I hardly ever use called shots. A lot of it is that it isn't necessary. But it is also harder to remember the correct hot keys (because it doesn't have a system like in Fallout that lets you call shots graphically).

I think if I was to use called shots though it would mostly be to the head - as I would want to kill the enemy faster rather than try and make them slower / or make them drop their weapon (leg or hand shot).
I rarely found that it was worth calling shots. I occasionally used a called shot to the arms to try to knock the weapon out of the hands of a thug who was getting a little too up-close and personal (if I didn't think I could drop him quick enough), but given that the effects aren't reliable, the only consistent result was a lower hit rate.

theyre , . and / if i remember correctly, its in the manual to be certain

but im glad to see I wasnt just being an Arcanub when I stopped calling shots after I noticed how inconsistent they were to pull off. Perhaps when my tech skill gets out of the 50s and I have Master Firearms? I'll report back then

By then it will probably just be overkill. haha
Usually when I have Master Firearms I am high enough level that basically anything is going to die whether I shoot it in the head or just use the normal targeting.
You can call shots with any attack, including a melee attack. But for those, too, it doesn't seem that useful. Theoretically you could aim for the head against a mage to try and knock out their fatigue so they can't cast, or if you want to knock someone unconscious instead of killing them. But overall it seemed like a feature the devs wanted to include but didn't have time to make particularly meaninfgul.

I didn't know this either. Thanks for the heads-up.
If the combat's on turn-based mode, I'll use them quite a bit. It can actually make quite a difference. Especially leg shots. One or two of those makes a lot of previously unkiteable enemies suddenly perfectly easy to kite. I've never used it in real-time combat, though.
