Following the advice of a different thread in my pursuit for cheap bullets to fuel my bloodlust, I acquired and learned the bullets schematic, making sure to have the mandatory explosives skill. Upon attempting to actually MAKE the bullets, however, I found that the schematic was unavailable. As in, it's like I never learned it at all. I even purchased another bullets schematic thinking I may have forgotten to save and been eaten alive at some point, only to be told that I already knew it. I'm running the unofficial patch and hoping desperately that has nothing to do with is, as I'll have to abandon my game if that's the case (save files don't transfer, etc.) Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated!

Schematics are separated into "learned" and "found" schematics. "Learned" ones you get from increasing your tech skills, "found" ones are the ones you buy or find. There's a button on the schematics screen to switch between the two types.

If you're just looking at the "learned" schematics you won't see it. Switch over to "found" and it will be there.

I forget exactly where the button is but it's covered in the game manual so you can just search the PDF for it. Or just try some buttons, you'll find it eventually. I'm pretty sure it's on the screen when you're actually viewing your schematics.
Yup, to add what Waltorious said, Press T to bring up schematics page, or the 'gears' button near the blue mana bar.

Then on the left of that page, there's two buttons to toggle between Learned Schematics and the ones you found or bought.

Okay, apologies and thanks for the help! It didn't seem entirely clear to me that the found and learned ones loaded entirely different pages for recipes. I was wondering why clicking found kept resetting the craft screen to herbalism. Thanks again!

Don't forget to mark a solution here, if you're able.
Note that you don't actually need to spend char points to make things with found schematics. Tarant university sells tech manuals that increase your Expertise in a discipline (the required expertise is the number in the corner of the schematic card) by your IN (as it was at the moment when you put the manual in your inventory).

Yeah this is really important to realize... it's not made clear how the manuals work anywhere in the game manual to my knowledge. The expertise numbers are important things to understand if you want to build stuff from schematics that you find.
