As you can see in the picture I've attached, I'm having some trouble with the high-res patch for Arcanum. I installed all other necessary programs, including the Unofficial patch (UAP091225.exe), and the high quality town maps patch.

I'm running a Windows 7 machine, and my resolution is 1360x768.

I'm not really sure what is causing this. Is this a common issue? What can I do to fix this?

I think this is normal... the title screen menu is a fixed resolution, so if you use the high-res patch to increase the resolution of the game, then the title screen menu will not fill the whole screen, and you'll see some of the regular game interface underneath it at the edges. The black parts on the sides are probably because the resolution you picked with the patch is a different aspect ratio than your screen's native resolution. What resolution did you set in the patch?

Anyway, if I'm right then the game should look fine once you actually start playing. But menu screens may still not cover the entire screen like they would if you used the original resolution.
