Prator: Arcanum has many potential allies in it for a would-be hero. Some are good, some are bad, and some are really just not that important. Many will die horrible deaths fighting for you because, frankly, their stats suck and their AI consists of a digital cabbage inside their poorly-rendered heads.
I've just bought this and am loving it, except for a few things..

*) Got the dog as described in this thread but I've lost him. Told him to wait, took the train, when I came back he wasn't were I left him. any idea how I get him back?

*) I have Sogg, and Virgil and I want to include Jayna, do I get rid of Sogg or Virgil or do I wait until my CH is 12?

*) Should i use the auto-level scheme for NPC progression or should I use the no-scheme and award points as I see fit?

1) Most NPCs, when "abandoned", will return to the scene of the crime. Check where you found him in Ashbury.

2) Sogg is a decent tank/backpack, but from a roleplaying standpoint he's got nothing. Jayna is almost as bad, but at least she knows Herbology and Therapeutics. Protip: go for the ones that talk; often times when you put them together, they'll have something to say to (or about) each other.

3) You don't have a choice; auto-leveling only affects your PC. Follower scripts are built in.

re 1 - sometimes Ive found my abandoned companions stuck at the gate to the bridge in Shrouded Hills in that little camp as if they got stuck. Always check there if you cant find them in the original places you recruited them

re 3 - I agree about Sogg, so what I usually RP is that my character is thinking, "Youll be a good minion you massive oaf you"

Thanks guys. I've now got Grog, Jayna and Virgil and 3 balanced swords/magic hammer and decent armour, so fights 4 vs 4 are no longer the major hassle they once were.
