thats just a "how to translate..."-Thread ;)
Bumping for stickiness!
Bump
I just figured I'd let everyone know about a workaround I found to the last UAP not installing.
It turns out that it's a self-extracting LZMA archive. Just open it up in 7-Zip and extract everything into the Arcanum directory.
i instaled uap and hires and of course the last official patch.only problem so far is that I cannot scroll the world map any direction but se?
anyone else have this?

You need to navigate with the Arrow key's.
Does anyone use WIP instead of UAP?
Could anyone upload hq townmaps to megaupload or some similar service? Terra Arcanum link seams to be broken, and ftp link someone posted is so slow that I managed to download only 9mb in 2 hours... please?

EDIT: Never mind, I found a http link... will upload the copy myself for others...

I wanted to thank you guys for the links. Really excited to try arcanum now. I bought it when it first came out and never played it.
I too would like to thank OP and anyone else who helped gather these mods/patches. Enjoying the game immensely so far.
I got the game today (yay) and started looking for a widescreen fix asap. Found this thread and i DL all the diffrent patches and fixes. Only problem was that when i tried to run f.ex. the resolution fix i get the error saying *this is a 64 bit system, u cant install this file*
(sitting on windows 7, 64 bit). Does anyone know if i can get around this? I did try to "run as admin" but didnt work.

Would love some help on this. Thx!

EDIT:

Well it seem like all the links in the big thread is bugged. When i dl the files there pretty small (5kb).

When dl from http://terra-arcanum.com i get the correct HIGHRES links, they can be found here:

http://www.terra-arc...HQ_Townmaps.exe
http://www.terra-arc...HighRes1.1a.exe

The patch from http://www.shsforums...l-patch-extras/
still works but nothing else from the thread, all files are 5kb when downloading. Might be a good idé to update the thread with the right links

Was able to download the patch, and town/map hi-res files from the links in the op
Installed in order and game ran fine- vista 64, 4gb, radeon 4850

thanks for the hardwork on the mods
I dl'd & installed the UAP, but I noticed after re-starting Arcanum that there's no sign of the Bedokaan (lizard people) in the portraits that I can find. Is it possible the patch did not install correctly? Is there any way (in-game) to check a version # to see if the patch took?
I have UAP and the hi-res pathces installed and I have an issue with the world map. The one used for traveling works fine since it's zoomed in, but when I'm in a town the world map is zoomed out and small, making it hard to see different towns and locations. I'm assuming this is because of the hi-res patch.

Is there a way to zoom in on the world map while you're in a town or some other way to make the map menu bigger?

There's no way do do it, other than go outside of town.
That's just how developers made it. It was the same way in vanilla, if I remember correct.
