MasterInferno: Are there other links available for the music and townmap packs? The site keeps pestering me to switch to Chrome to download those.
Look here: terra-arcanum . com/drog/dest/#downloads
Mirrors on computergames . ro are still valid.

Sorry for spaces in URLs, as far as I understand newbies are forbidden to post hyperlinks :)

Thanks very much!
All of the games i get off of gog, including arcanum are all in a really low res that doesnt even fit my screen, i have about two inch borders on each side of my screen, when i change the res in game it doesnt seem to do anything!! can someone help? any easy fixes here? its a good game and ill play it with this tiny screen if i have too but i really dont want to
The link for the HQ town maps seems to be the most elusive, and all that terra-arcanum stuff just leads to poker advertisements and broken sites.

This one seems to work, at least for the moment: http://games.softpedia.com/progDownload/Arcanum-Of-Steamworks-and-Magick-Obscura-High-Quality-Townmaps-Patch-Download-95001.html

If all that stuff weren't that big, I'd already be putting up a mirror, but with the limited bandwith that I've got it's probably not of much use…

EDIT: Given that I now spent the better part of this evening chasing patches and stuff (the sheer size of this thread is no big help for that ^^), here's kind of a last-resort mirror for the patches mentioned in the first post of this thread: http://mirror.aleturo.com/Games/Arcanum/ The bandwidth is poor, but if everythiing else fails, it's still better than nothing.

A new mirror is up here as well on PCGamingWiki: http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Arcanum:_Of_Steamworks_%26_Magick_Obscura
Seems like terra-arcanum is down. anyone got his hands on the windowed-mode patch ? Can't find it anywhere...

Thanks
I got a question about the High Resolution patch, when I installed it my interface at the bottom and top is still in the orginial resolution and not stretched. But the actual game is in fulllscreen.

I had a similiar issue in Fallout with that HighRes patch, although I fixed it. So I wonder if this is supposed to be like that or can this be fixed?
How exactly do install the Hi-res town maps? I've unzipped the file, and I see a modules directory with an Arcanum.PATCH9 file in it. Do I just copy it into a directory in my Arcanum installation? If so, which one? I see a couple of possibilities.

[Edit] For some reason it ran properly as an exe when I tried the downloaded file again. I had extracted it because it wasn't running and I didn't bother to check the extension.

Guess it was just a glitch.

atkes: expired link to elemental silence mod.

Would be good if someone can upload to mirror sites as the one above is the only link I can find. The one in terra arc's official DL page is dead.
The download link in that thread opens some fake webiste that only allows me to download ilividdownloader.exe or some such spyware crap.

anyone have this mod link? much appreciated.

I got the file from that link, and it did work, but this was in April 2012. :|
I've removed the link to it (in my post) if its now malicious. Can you do the same with my post that got quoted please.
I'll look for it in my game directory later (6am now, work time).

thx for the reply atkes. i tried again to make sure its just not one of those shady free download sites where the actual download buttin is extra small and hidden, but i had no luck finding it.

I edited my post to prevent others from downloading this ilivid.exe or whatever its called.

Would be awesome if you still had the mod :)
These file host sites often do have some mysterious path to get to the file, that cannot be found by us mortals. The free software jdownloader can often find the file, where I cannot. Worth a try in cases like this.

http://www.gamefront.com/files/23097372/arcanum_disableSpellNoise_zip
Found it. Installation instructions (as I remembered it) included in the .txt file inside.
Its just one small .dat file.

Uploaded to gamefront.com which requires a download every 60 days or they will delete it.
If someone else can find a permanent home that'd be appreciated
