I believe that the UAP disables multiplayer.

I have also installed the latest UAP (2.0.2) and the game refuses to work properly. When I launch the game all I see is a black screen, but there is sound.

Decided to play it without the UAP (almost 7 hours) and I haven't encountered any serious bugs.

NVM, managed to get the game working with both UAP and HD mod, turns our Riva Tuner which I used for limiting my FPS was causing all the problems, so I deactivated it. Some people on other forums have mentioned that disabling G-sync made the game work.

Basically, remove/disable anything that limits FPS and it should probably work fine.

Did you ever get an answer? I have gotten the game working fine and uap is applied but i cant get the High res part to work. I have edited the ini, but when i try to run the '_install.bat' file through wine cmd i get an error about weidu which just seems weird

Anyone still modding Arcanum in 2022? For me it still holds up as one of the best games ever made. I fell asleep for 5 years or so and woke up to the discovery Drog Blacktooth had updated the UAP. So exciting! But, yeah, I have an itch to create a module or two, and I was wondering if anyone is still doing that.

So I reinstalled Arcanum with the lastest (I think) UAP and, even though I kept the default settings of the config.ini, the mouse cursor reacts slowly and sometimes freezes.

I never had this issue before so if anyone has an idea of what can cause this...

Set DDrawWrapper = 0 and run install.bat. On W10+ it's causing flickering intros / movies and other problems. Also keep Render to software if you're missing dialogs.

I just installed the game and then the UAP but it just crashes on opening.
It may just be because I am on windows 11?

I tried the Multiverse Edition first, but after the mod changed my Windows region to Russian, and Windows alerting me of possible viruses in the config, I decided it was not worth the hassle. So I tried the UAP instead and installation went fine (no Russian shenanigans), but the game just crashes on startup now. Sigh... :(

Edit: The above suggestion of disabling G-Sync worked - the game launches now!

Edit 2: But the game keeps flashing black constantly...

Edit 3: The above suggestion of disabling DDrawWrapper did not fix the issue.

Edit 4: Reinstalled the game from scratch and didn't install UAP at all. Game runs fine, but the mouse cursor is behaving strangely. Sigh!

Where do I find this?

After you install UAP, go to HighRes folder and change in config.ini. After the change run install.bat to apply changes.

I run Nvidia and it's a driver issue I think I have one PC I have older drivers on and one with the latest. Only the new one flickers. I have had several issues with the latest driver actually.

Okay not the driver . I tried 546.17 from Nov. no go. I have 3 pcs and only the one with my new 4070 is doing it. I have GPU Scheduling on because of the New feature RTX path etc. I'm thinking it maybe it.

I did verify the flickering is the windows GPU scheduling to reduce latency is it! If it's off no troubles.

Almost everything is working for me except for the pre-rendered cutscenes playing back super glitchy, constantly stuttering between frames. Any ideas?
