satyrmode: Is there a link for those that doesn't require watching a Flash video?

I mean, I'd watch an ad to pay their hosting, but I'm not going to install flash just for that...
The download link is in the page's HTML code, right above the flash video. Ends on .hash, save it as .exe

Trying to download it gives me the BadLink.html, could a helpful person maybe mirror it somewhere? :)
High resolution patch should be swapped with this one: http://www.rpgcodex.net/forums/index.php?threads/arcanum-high-resolution-patch-version-1-5-release.115869/
Is anyone able to get this running at 1920 x 1080 fullscreen or above? My goal is 2560 x 1440 fullscreen, but the most I can do is 1920 x 1080 windowed.

On v1.1a I used to be able to run 2560 x 1440 fullscreen, but I reinstalled the game to switch to this newer widescreen patch for the Half-Ogre Island fix. Seems a mistake, and now using 1.1a I am limited to 2560 x 1440 windowed (still higher than what 1.5 allows me though).

It works on 4K: http://imgur.com/a/3RHrm

Talk with Drog in the thread (he replied to you).

But isn't such high resolution too much? Characters are tiny (even on a 50 inch display).

Maybe another GPU driver will help. Characters are indeed small although I guess I've gotten used to it.

- EDIT: No help on either Windows 7 or Windows 10. 1080p windowed is as high as the high res 1.5 patch will go.

Not to cause any confusion for the OP - I have added the link to Arcanum High Resolution Patch newest Version: 1.5 (June 20, 2017) : http://terra-arcanum.com/drog/highres.html#downloads to the original post.

i recommend replacing ddraw.dll with the wine emulated ddraw.dll as well. it will remove any slowdowns and make the game run smoothly all the time.

look up ie_ddrawfix is a page how to fix baldurs gate but the fix will work on arcanum as well.
Hey.
I'm having trouble trying to install the Fan patch.
You know, Unofficial Arcanum Patch v091225.

I keep getting these errors while the installers doing its works, like this:
Error opening file for writing:
C:ProgramFiles(x86)\Arcanum\Arcanum.exe

In fact, it has trouble opening a whole load of files.
Am I the only one having this problem?

Ok so I got the high res patch and uap installed but when I try and run the game it stops working any solutions?

NVM got it working had it set to windowed mode which i guess it didn't like.

Rule #1: Don't you never, ever install games in Program Files folder. Never.

Reinstall the game somewhere else, for example C:\GOG\ or C:\games\ or on a separate partition. Then you shouldn't have any trouble with patching, updating or modding.
I am not sure if this is the right place to put this, but I'm on windows 10 and I had some graphical glitches when
the crash site loaded (see attachment).

You can fix it by setting the game to run in compatibility mode for Windows 7 and set the -no3d -doublebuffer flags
on the program or shortcut.

Other than that, the GOG support page is awesome, it's so clean and readable!
I know the store page doesn't include windows 10 as platform, but I hope this solution can be included somehow.

I have the same problem (no flash, digging in the code doesn't work for me), so I am seconding this. :)

By the way, those guys should really fix their download page. Mandatory flash in 2017 should be illegal or something.

Something I've just noticed - you should delete the part directing to 1.1 patch. If one were to install 1.1 and then 1.5 he will mess up the game and the OP suggests to install the patches in exactly this sequence. Just swap the links, it's OP's fault that he doesn't frequent GOG anymore.

carlosjuero: The only download that gave me real issues was the HQ Town Maps. It wouldn't download for the longest (no matter how many page refreshes), and then when it finally did the archive apparently got corrupt. Ah well, I have the rest of the important mods.
Actually you never got the archive, you downloaded the html page labelled as the archive.
I had the same problems, cant get any of the Terra Arcanum links to provide downloads, but right clicking save as, appeared to give me the files, some archived, others exe's
Archives appeared corrupt, but exe's all ended with htm extension, and sure enough opening archives in Notepad++ shows they are also html pages.

Their Forum is down as well, so no good trying there, stick to later links on here for now.
