So, I've decided to give Arcanum another go after a few years of not touching it. I've installed the Unofficial Patch and no other mods (just to play in a window) however I'm having a severe issue. The game launches just fine, loads just fine, but once I get to the main menu the in-game cursor does not move whatsoever. I notice that the mouse still is functional on my desktop, and I can even click the X to close the game, which prompts the "do you want to quit?" dialogue, which can close the game if I press Enter.

I have tried the following to fix this:

Set launch parameters as -no3d -window -scrolldist:0 -scrollfps:70
Delete ddraw.dll
Installed Arcanum somewhere other than Program Files (x86)
Set Compatibility options to Windows XP Service Pack 2, run as Administrator
Performed a clean install and ran with no modifications

None of these are working. I really have no idea what the problem is, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: Well I solved it. I used the Multiverse Edition patch, and that fixed all of my issues.

It would have probably been solved as well by installing the HiRes patch on top of the UAP.
