So some guy asked me to kill the King of Caladon, so of course I obliged. After a lot of effort, I finally offed the bastard, but now everyone in Caladon wants me dead. This wouldn't be a problem, but I need a book from some guy named Victor Misk and I can't find it in his house and no one will talk to me because they are too busy screaming and running around. Even if I stand beside them for an entire week, they still go apeshit whenever I try to start a conversation.
The FAQs say I need to do a long drawn out quest to get the book, but how can I do that if noone will talk to me??
I have a save before I killed the king, but I think I'd rather die than lose all that hard work.

Killing the king will earn you a reputation. Every inhabitant in Caladon will try and kill you. So if you really want to do this quest, you should complete all others in Caladon first.

Returning to Grant’ Tavern in Tarant you can pick uo your money.

Maybe go to a save prior to killing the king would be a good idea, do all the Caladon quests and than . . . if you still want to do the deed . . . kill the king.

OR ****SPOILER*****

See the attached image . . . the Misk house is located at 9

The book in the display case in the living room is a part of the Iron Clan quest. Lillian Misk has the key to the case in her inventory, and you can steal it from her to get the book but you will probably have to kill her after your king assassination . . .=)

Thanks, but I already tried that and it's the wrong book, I need a book about dark elves for the main quest.
