I ask because i want to make a melee mage but i just got my first spell buffs and the sound effects loop and within 20 secs is really getting to me anyway has anyone made a mod or something that gets rid of the looping sounds?

From the Options menu, click on Sounds, then lower sound Effects until the looping sounds are silent or at a tolerable level.

Yes, there is, you can download the "No Annoying Spell Sound Effects" mod from Drog Black Tooth's Misc Mods page at Terra-Arcanum. Sorry, I can't post the direct link due to forum restrictions.

Unfortunately, that patch has been pulled and I haven't found the file anywhere else.
