Hey everyone, just came across this cool little tool last night. If you're not aware of it, you need to be.

How it works is that by having the tool run in the background while you play the game, you can hit Alt+Z to "unlock" your followers. What this means is that you can now choose their auto-level scheme. If you set it to No Scheme, then every time you level up, they'll receive the corresponding amount of points (which seems to be tied to your level rather than theirs, but I haven't tested this much so don't quote me), which you can then spend however you'd like by going into their character screen.

Sweet and simple utility that fixes, IMHO, one of the most frustrating aspects of the game. This is especially the case with tech characters, who are now actually able to advance up to their Doctorate.

I've run this with the old version of the game, but so far I haven't gotten it to work with the gog version.

EDIT: Once more it seems like the trick is to run the program as administrator:-)

You're right, I ought to have mentioned this.

It's also worth noting that, as far as I can tell, actual spellcasting is tied directly to individual follower AI - if they aren't programmed to use a spell, they won't use it, period. At the very least, this was the result of my testing. There may be a tool out there to alter each follower's AI - there may even be one scurried away in-game somewhere, for all I know. But unless you do something to alter their default behaviour, any new spells they learn that they wouldn't have acquired ordinarily will go unused.

This obviously isn't the case with tech, as you initiate use of that manually, so go ahead and make Gar the mad chemist you always knew he secretly was.

The mad moonshiner, you mean. ;)
Unfortunately I havent found any way to use Gar's schematics... The dialogue option is only there for the default techies.

A pity as it would be hilarious to run a tech party with Gar, Tarellond-Ashe (a useless follower due to spellcasting AI), and our friend the big game hunter.
Could anyone share the file of the scheme tool please? The first link seems to be broken.
Hello, if anyone needs a link to the Follower Editor, I found a new one, here it goes http://www.mediafire.com/file/0mqk3rnydwjntoz/FollowerEditor.zip
