So I just returned to Shrouded Hills to find that Doc Roberts was nowhere to be found, and there was a pile of blood in his house. I have no idea how this happened. Maybe it was a glitch, maybe I accidentally killed him and forgot to reload. But however this happened, I would really appreciate it if anyone could tell me if there is any way to fix this, either with a save editor or anything else, because my character is good-alignment and I know that having Roberts alive has an effect on one of the endings.

Well, I'm stupid. It turns out he wasn't dead, he was just outside the bank for some reason. Sorry about that.

The reason would be that you agreed to help him with the bank robbers, in exchange for a weapon. Once you do so, he posts himself at the bank, ready to become your temporary follower while you deal with the robbers. As soon as you've done so, he gives you the agreed-upon item (and some XP) and returns to his home, where he becomes available to heal any injuries and/or disfiguring scars, for a fee.

He may also head to the bank, ready to deal with things himself, if you choose to decline his offer. I'm not sure, since I never turn him down. If that's the case, try talking with him again and see what happens.
