Arcanum will "freeze" about every 2 hours so far. After ending with task manager, Arcanum will then not restart until system reboot. I'm playing on an XP machine with an NVidia 7600, with the patch list recommended at the top of the forum. I didn't start any games until applying the patches. The crashes always seem to happen while moving about on the screen, not in combat or while any of the info panels are open; I'm beginning to wonder if it's the High-Res patch that's creating the problem.
My resolution is set to (may be off on the #s slightly, at work and can't check) 1600x1080 (whatever my default resolution is, I checked it in the NVidia control panel before putting the numbers into the command line).
Anyone else having the same issues?
It may be due to a memory leak. Try using the -no3d -doublebuffer argument combination in your Arcanum shortcut.
