I'm playing using the "Perfect Arcanum on Windows 10" setup recommended in this forum, and all's well 95% of the time. However, I'm in Shrouded Hills and trying to do the Doc Roberts quest with the shootout at the bank. I get maybe two or three turns into the fight, and then the LED strip that shows action points during your turn just keeps spinning in its waiting-for-AI loop. I've waited around for it a minute or so, but haven't seen anything come of it.

Has anyone run into this before? Am I just locked out of this quest? That's not a huge deal in itself, but if this is likely to keep happening throughout the game, I fear it'll be unplayable.

Double tap the space bar. This is a known issue; it's suspected that an offscreen character (possibly a town guard) is trying to "join" the fight. Entering and quickly exiting real time mode will fix the problem, at the cost of one turn for your PC.
That does it! Phew, thanks! I can live with that workaround--offscreen character action makes sense as the culprit, given it only seems to happen in populous areas.
Happy to help, and enjoy the game.
