The game can run. The first time i launched it it worked fine. But every time since i simply don't get video. I have sound and i can hear the menu load up and if i wave the mouse in the right position i can click the new game at the top and hear the opening cinematic. I'm running a NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT card and have DirectX 11 on a Windows 7 64-bit machine. Please help!

Do you also have DirectX 9 installed? DX9 can be installed at the same time as DX11, and most old games need DX9 to work.

It's strange that it worked the first time though. Anyone else have ideas?
I installed the June 2010 DirectX runtime package that they suggest in the general help but it did nothing.

Have you sent in a support ticket?

[[EDIT]] Also, suggested from a completely different thread, you may try deleting (or, I'd suggest to avoid complications if it mucks everything up, renaming) directdraw.dll, or else trying a few edits to the config file. No idea if this could help you at all, but you may want to read over the thread and see if any of that will help you.

I did sent in a support ticket but i have not heard anything back. At least i think i did... now I'm second guessing myself.
On a update note, during my last attempt to get the game to run i got an error when i tried to ALT TAB out. The error read
"D3D Error: D3DRR_invalidcall(135)"
Hope that's some insight

Well, that's a Direct3D error, so it seems like something is going on with DirectX. But you said you'd already installed the latest version of DX9, so I'm not sure how else to fix it. Have you installed the latest drivers for your graphics card? Sometimes that helps. Also, sometimes you actually need to use OLDER drivers, so if you have the newest ones you could try rolling back.

I had an older driver when i started playing and updated as soon as this problem was not resolved by the DX9 upgrade. Also this error only occurred after repeated use of ALT TAB. Every time i load the game it asked if i want to reset audio and visual settings to default. Normally i say yes, i just no for the first time... this is what i got (See pic)
