I tried to write a review but have the "reviews dont get published" bug :)
So I'll just express here that I really enjoy the game. It perfectly... or purrfectly captures the old arcade feeling. While at it's core it is rather simple, as many arcade games were, moving up and down, left and right and shooting stuff while doing so, it provides a truly fun experience. And all packaged in a cute retro look with a great, fitting arcady soundtrack.

Hi - thanks for the review. Great to hear you are enjoying the game.

Someone has managed to post a review so it might be possible it works ok now?
Unfortunately they had some controller trouble, but we are looking into a fix for that right now.

It's a bug some of us have. Some people can post reviews others can't. Isn't the first time it happens to me. But I'll try again. And waiting for support tosend me the standard email that they are looking into it ;)

I am playing with the keyboard - throwback to when I had a 286 :) - and am having no problems whatsoever. Just finished level 5.

EDIT:
I can't try to post a new review as the webpage thinks I already have one posted and thus doesn't give me the review button anymore :/

that sucks re the review - hopefully GOG will fix this sometime.
Tried to post a review as well. My thoughts were that it's an enjoyable game for people who love arcade games like Defender, and it is in many ways an improvement to that game. The only issues I have is that I couldn't see if you could rebind keys (if it's possible to), and the menus having Xbox 360 controller buttons instead of keys while using the keyboard is confusing. Really enjoying the game despite that, though.

I beat level 10 today. That took me a bit. those tiny fast fishies are evil.

Yes, game really gets harder after a while. Beat level 15 a few minutes ago, but I was only able to save all kitties in one of the last six levels.
I'm proceeding very slowly, as I follow a "No Kitty left behind" code.
I'm such a pussy. I switched to easy mode at level 18. Was completely unable to survive in that bullet hell. And I don't even talk about the vague idea of saving all kittens.

I'm at level 17 now. Yeah, there are moments where I am searching for a nuke button :)
Beat the game on easy level. But it seems almost impossible to do that on normal difficulty for me. Think I would need something in between.

I started on NaNoWriMo, so my gametime is limited. Plus I had to write stuff for my Blog :(
Still stuck on level 17 normal. Still trying to save all kitties. Got to where I only had 22 robot fishies left to destroy and lost both my remaining lifes within seconds, dodging around a milk tanker.

Hi - you can always come back later with a more powered up gun to save 100% kitties if you want (gun is upgraded at the end of each area).

Also here are some tips that might help - puffafish explosions can be used as safe spots as they kill enemy bullets too, so sometimes its best to try to let puffafish build up on a level.
Also think about which enemies to tackle first, which pose most of a threat - and when to use powerups :)
If only there were pulafish on this level. The problem is the dodgers and the angelfish. Especially when combined. They can really box you in. And they are the only ones that can block teh top lane.
Priority is always the Jellygrabbers for me. Angelfish and Dodgers come after that. Paleaofishies are probably lowest on the list. Though they can become a pain if you let them build up.

This is such a cool little side scroller shooter. I've enjoyed playing through it with my friends and jamming to the cool tunes in each level. I definitely recommend it if you like old school shooters!
