Links above are now dead :(
I completed game with Warrior (not Shackles of Ice, no usage of Cheating spear, on Granite spell or others, just pure Healing and Melee), but as in 95% of games, mages have life better, even with only 3 points in Power, i maxed 6 of 7 magic school without some additional training (waiting for mana), but i guess that faster mana regen Amulet a bit helped. But i also just threw away White ivory items, i could use them for exping too.I maxed flesh first and other with healing learned others.
I tried to kill everything that moved, i max hacking and slashking and thurting in half and no make enemies, im not really sure how thirsting works, because with some smaller swords, there are some thirsting animations for lower attacks..
I ended with HP - 268 (9 or 10) a MP -1188 (72 rolls accepted, once i managed 81).
I started with Agility 4 and had problem to hit anything, higher weapon skill helps, but still, amulet +1 helped. Strength seems to be > Stamina. I had Stamina 6, tried Amulet +2, but i was still tired a lot, too often.. and again spell casters, not sure such things.
So i would recommend for Warrior:
Strength - 8 // I had 7 and it was really annoying, maybe you can suffer it too and use one more point to Agility
Stamina - 6
Agility - 5
Power - 1 / i had 3 too much.
Because of weight struggle i was collected Magic Herbs for will fight which doesnt not occurs and ended on 120 - with average roll 55 - its 6600 mana tank (with healing for 78 SP its 84 heals for boss fight, it should be enough for everyone:).. I would be lazy, i could maxed with it last magic school, maybe i will.
I never had to use any attribute boosting potions or that healing symbols and even healing potions, i just used healing spell and saved and saved potions for harder times.. only ice worms where challenge.
My score was: 146183
I would like to know these things:
1) Which are best amulets? Is there Strength +2 amulet?
2) Where to get Rage of Fallen Heroes spell, or its only temporarily?
3) There is couple of defensive spells (Granite, Dark Cloak), but its unclear which bonuses you gain. Armor reporting sucks, you had best armor and helm i game you get - moderate score.. with +10% phys. res. amulet which i found, im getting -stalwart.
4) Is there something like Dispel? Even you need to cancel - Dark Cloak of Shadow or Dance upon the stones of wind?
If is someone obsessed with pressure plates, its really best game for him by far..

Could be wrong place, but has anyone run into an issue where you randomly lose control of character? Im in Dark Lantern dungeon and at random times I will lose control of character and he will moved about the map on his own. Sometimes going in circles in place, or just going off in random directions

It seems that you encountered the most annoying part of the game - spinners.
There are spots where the spinner will rotate and/or move your character. Depending on the precise spinner, there are different ways to deal with them:
1) There might be a puzzle where the trick is to avoid the spinner and walk in a certan path/way. I think that in the dungeon below the Dark Lantern there is a room with rocks and the places where the rocks are laying are the spinners and you need to walk a certain way to pass through that room (and back).
2) Look for hidden (flashing) walls, there might be an alternative path, where you can avoid the spinner.
3) Look for switches/pressure plates - they might disable the spinner.
4) Sometimes you need pass throught them with brute force/luck. There is a spinner at the entrence to the Barrier that will constantly rotate your character and the trick is to move forward at the right moment to go where you want to.
