ShadowWulfe: Daw, maybe there is a way to delete items from the inventory? A kind of savegame editor type thing. The threat of the crash constantly looms over my head, encouraging me to use my expendable items that I normally keep until the endgame.
Don't know of any way, but seriously, don't worry. To be really sure, save, drop your stuff, exit the dungeon, then reenter.

ShadowWulfe: Is Gryphon's Keep ever used again after it's looted out? I have quite a trio of junk weapons that I need to get rid of.
No.

Finished it a bit earlier today. I can't believe that I missed out on it for so long!

Though I will say that weighing down some of the plates on one of the last dungeons (cough, I'm talking to you hot place) was kind of obnoxious.

If you want something in the same vein, try The Summoning by the same team. Sadly, it's not on GOG (yet?) and it's not as stylish as Anvil of Dawn, but it implements many other design decisions that made Anvil good, including a clever endgame puzzle.

Yeah the game looks kind of awesome. I guess another regret I had about AoD was that there weren't enough "boss" fights like the Castellan. That guy was a beast until I chugged heroic rage.

One of the big problems with the SSI things is... well I remember a thread with an extensive discussion about it, but the rights for games with that publisher are kind of complicated (I assume it's the reason why the Warwind series still isn't here).
