Hey guys,

bought the anno 1602 gog version couple of days ago and after starting the game it simply shows a blackscreen which cant be quited via alt + f4 or ctrl + alt + del. So I have to turn off my computer by hand.

I cant play the game and the suggest solutions by the support dont help at all.

Btw. iam guessing this bug has something to do with my widescreen monitor. but iam not sure.

Any ideas how to fix this problem?

Almost a year gone, no respawn. Tryed different ways of fixing it. Still wont work

Playing on Windows 7, 64bit and a 16:9 widescreen monitor. native monitor scaling is 1920x1080

The only issue i found - it`s to load windows in safe mode (F8 during OS start). But in these way there couldn`t be any music or sound in the game.

Updating

I find that the black screen appear when the display driver fail, so i tried previous versions of graphic driver and find one with whom the game work fine.
