The native resolution of my monitor is 1920x1080 but GTC Setup didn't offer this resolution. If I start the game in HighRes (1280x960) the result looks fine to me but the monitor recommends 1920x1080 in a popup window.

Did it harm the monitor if I play in 1280x960 anyway?

Haha, no, your monitor is fine. It might not look as nice, but monitors are capable of displaying resolutions lower than their native resolution.

If you want to run the game at 1920x1080 and 16:9 aspect ratio (widescreen), follow the instructions at Widescreen Gaming Forum.

For me, it works in fullscreen 1920x1080 now. Looks good to me. That's all I can say.
Anyone care to give a completely ignorant novice a step by step instruction? So I just download anox.7z and what do I do with it from there? I am hopeless with this stuff and any help is greatly appreciated.

Edit: Never mind, got there on my own. Looks great, can't wait to finally play through this game again.
