I'm having some sort of display problem with American Conquest that doesn't seem to be showing up with anyone else. When I first installed the game, it would load normally but freeze at the main screen. Alt+tab didn't work, so I ended up reinstalling my video card drivers. This solved my problems with a few other games, but now when I try running AC all I get is an error message saying "Direct Draw Init Failed (88760 1b3)". I've got no idea why updating the drivers would make things worse, but there you go.

I'm running WIndows 7 x64, processor is Intel Core i3-2100 CPU @ 3.10 GHz. The graphics are actually run from the processor rather than an independent video card, which is probably the source of most of my problems.

This isn't a huge deal since all the other GOG games seem to work with some tweaking, but I would like to get my money's worth. Anyone have any idea how to help?
Well, I hate to make a useless thread, but I just had to completely uninstall my video drivers. I still might have to get a real video card since I run into this crap ALL the time.
