ZedHqX4: Ok, sorry for reviving this thread, but im onto something. As we all know, the spanish version works fine on windows 10. If you overwrite the "movies" and "Dialog" folders, you can get english audio, but you still have the spanish text. I tried to translate with an hexadecimal editor some parts just to test, and it does work. The file to modify is "locale" inside the Provider folder. Im adding a picture just to show you. I did this in a few minutes, im sure if someone knows how to code a proper tool, it will be faster and easier to translate back to english (or any other language) the menu and the files, hence getting win 10 support.

jrod0772: wow, well that is new. The whole reason I have not bought this is because of the win10 issue. hope it pans out.
Ok, i got further in this issue. I remembered there was a PS2 version so i got a copy and opening the files, there was also a PROVIDER folder with some LOC_##.COK files, obviously the locale files for deutch, english, french, italian and spanish. So i opened one of those with the hex editor to see if it used the same text pattern and it did. So the next step was to test them on the game. I copied one over renamed it to locale and what do you know? IT WORKED!!!! The only "problem" would be that since apparently this was from the dreamcast version in the game it shows as A in a red circle to accept and a Y in a green circle for cancel. And also, a few things are read from the exe itself, so those little things would have to be changed with an hex editor.

Well for the moment here's the "fix"

https://www.dropbox.com/sh/8jei8izaeh01obp/AAD_UjM5Wf2BR5afE213y9fga?dl=0

-Install both the spanish and the english/french one
-Copy over the movies and Dialog folder from the english/french version over to the spanish install
-Download one of the LOC_##.COK files from the dropbox link and rename it to locale (don forget to remove the ".COK")
-Test

Let me know how it works.

As a personal question, does anyone know how to add a wrapper or xinput support to an exe? I really want to have a pause button and use the Dpad for movement and i dont like to use joytokey.

Just to be sure, I've downloaded the file and I'm wondering if replacing the exe from the GOG version with the one in the file would've the same effect.

I know it looks like I'm being lazy, but I'd rather not juggle more than one installation.

It starts and you can play from the beginning, but dont know if there are more differences among the rest of the files, test it. Play it and if you dont have any issue then it's the same. If "... with the one in the file " you are refering to the one in dropbox, its also the GOG version, just the spanish version. I uploaded it for the steam users that dont have spanish version available.

OK. I tried it and the graphic glitch is gone, but...

- Every option on the main menu except "Salir" (pretty sure it's missing something) are invisible
- The game crashes to desktop as soon as I reach the character selection screen

Guess I'll have to try the original solution after all.

Edit: OK. Tried your old method and I still have that bug (might be a Galaxy issue, though). Trying without Galaxy.
Edit 2: Using the non-Galaxy installers seems to work. There are a few commands that are still in Spanish (mostly "Salir", and the screen to change controls.
Edit 3: OK. I think I figured out why there are commands still in Spanish. You file comes from the console version and these commands don't exist on that version (I figured that Salir means Quit, which doesn't exist on the console version for obvious reasons. And the screen to change control is completely different. Just saying.

Your initial problem was because the locale file wasnt placed in the PROVIDER folder. Yes, some strings are read from the exe itself, it can be changed but it need hex editing, not a hard thing to do, but:

1) it could probably break something
2) im lazy and somewhat OCD

Since im not getting paid to find potential bugs and also im not capable of fixing them in case they appear, well im better off not doing it
So, almost 2020!

Any solution for Win10 issue???

The game is on sale right now and I'd like to buy it whether it have been fixed.

Thanks all!

The store page indicates that GOG does not offer support for Win10:

Works on: Windows (XP, Vista, 7)
They never did, so there has been no changes to the game. The last update to the game was in 2018 and it was only a change in the installer, with no change to game files whatsoever.

If you are not confident on the workarounds presented here or in the PCGamingWiki page, then probably you shouldn't buy it.

According to the notice on top of the PCGamingWiki page and this post they say that GOG versions are working with Win10. It does work on my system with Win10 Pro 1909 right now, but being the gambling man that I am, I wouldn't put money on that being 100% accurate for everyone.
