I have tried out this classic horror game with Audio CD music and this is still one of atmospheric horror games from Dos era.
Although I see stuttering during the first cutscene and in the stages with pushable objects after installing the Dos game.
Can anyone provide the correct configs for DosBox to reach as smoothest gameplay as it was on the Windows 95/98 OS machines?
I'd hate to play Dos games with stuttering frames by default.

There is this post from a while ago, have you tried playing with the speed of the cpu emulation like he did?

I actually didn't have any problems running the game personally, so I can't help, sadly.
Till last year I played with the DosBox speed setting by changing the default .conf file

It is not perfect, but it works

Nowadays I use PcEm or 86Box and create different machines for different games. This is a lot more work to set up, but it helps saving time long run (and allows for a more "authentic" feel. Some few games like Alone in the dark and Caesar 2 can be a bit finicky).

Mind that if you set up DosBox too fast, you´ll get stuttering sound. You will also encounter a bug if you set it up too fast, or run on a too fast emulated virtual machine: Running becomes really difficult and the character will tend to climb up the stairs by itself when you try to get down from the attic into the fist floor.

You need to aim towards a 486-33SX speed or lower for a VM, and 11000-12000 cycles on DosBox
