So I've been working on an audio patch for Alone in The Dark 3 which replaces the horrible redubbed stuff in the GoG release with the proper audio from the dos version. Who knows why they decided to shove the stuff from the windows version into it originally. Just unzip the .rar into your Alone in The Dark 3 directory and overwrite the music folder, and enjoy the original voice acting and the proper credits theme.

Appreciate the effort behind the patch and all, but what exactly did they change in the Windows version?
I had no idea there were two English dubs of this game, and I have a physical DOS version copy. But my version's dub is the same as the GOG version's. I have never heard the dub in this audio patch before.

An easy way to see the difference is playing Track22.ogg in both versions. Carnby's voice in the patch dub is clearly a completely different voice actor.

They changed the ENTIRE set of spoken dialog with a weird engrish translation, and put in a horrible re-recording of the ending theme with nonsense lyrics.

here's the ending theme that's in the GoG version:

And here's the one for the patched version, which came in the retail dos version:

Not sure about this, but I believe GOG has the first English dub from the original MS-DOS version while the patch changes it for the English redub of the Windows 95 'Ghosts in Town' release which is pretty rare to come by these days.

I believe English was the only case where it had two different dubs for the two different versions of the game. In Spanish at least, both the MS-DOS and the Windows 95 'Ghosts in Town' version had the same dub and in both cases the song was the one of the MS-DOS version (the one you say it has nonsense lyrics).

I got the English Windows 95 'Ghosts in Town' reworked song from the credits and added to the Spanish Windows 95 'Ghosts in Town' version since I agree it's much better, and also that way it differs from the MS-DOS version in at least something.
Fixed the voices and music for the French version. Fix is the same: replace the music folder contents with the ones form the patched version. Thanks to Nukkus for saving me the time of fixing the music tracks!

Thank you so much for doing this.
The original acting in the audio files you have supplied is amazing.
It reminds me of the old days...
Fantastic job here.
