I recently bought this on a whim but all I get on loading is the intro text and menus in block white and unreadable. If I start a game I simply have a blank dark grey background and white/light grey 3d model of Carnaby.

I've tried all the different graphics options I can on the pre-game launch menu as well as running the game in different compatibility modes.

I'm running windows 8.1 on a HP Envy with an i5 and a 2gb GT 840M.

Done a lot of googling but I can't find anyone with same problem - any ideas?

You might want to try looking up solutions in the New Nightmare subforum, as this one is for the first three games only. I think there are other threads in there addressing your exact same issue.
