So, I want to play skirmish in AvP, but the point limit is always set to 1,000,000 by default, with 255 minutes set as well. I can't figure out why they're set at their maximum.

Is there a way I can alter the score limit without having to keep the left key depressed for half an hour until it gets to a lesser value?

Press Enter. You can set them to No Point Limit and No Time Limit.
