DYNORYNO: I have a windows 8 laptop and Alien Shooter runs, but it will crash whenever it feels like it. Most of the time it's around a minute into the first level but sometimes it'll be several minute before it crashes. I tried to use compatibility mode but whenever I do the screen constantly flickers. Is there any way to fix this?
Hey I found it, to fix the flickers , first at the menu choose the next resolution:
640 x 480 x 32bpp.
Then press ok and close the game again.
Search for a file called:
AlienShooter.cfg
and open it with notepad or something like it.
edit the :
DefaultFullScreenMode=1
to:
DefaultFullScreenMode=0
and save the file and close it.
Then open the game and press ok or change the resolution if it is changed , then when you play the campaign it will crash at the first mission when you come near the gate.
If this crash happened open the game and select campaign again but don't move , just type a cheat that will finish the mission immediately which is (cheate)
no mistakes just type it and it will complete the first campaign mission then the game won't crash after that mission , unfortunately you should use that cheat whenever you start a new campaign , hope it helps.
