Weird. Are you trying to do this via Galaxy or the offline installers? Direct launch or desktop shortcut?

they are probably referring this: https://github.com/M-HT/SR/releases/tag/albion_v1.7.4

albion was released only on DOS and the only way to play it in windows is using that.

I'd never heard of this version of Albion? How is it compared to playing it through the DosBox install? Which version would you recommend?

as a matter of opinion I think SR is superior as it fixes a couple of bugs and just makes the game an easier affair to play, but I strongly encourage you to complete the game in both DOS and using SR if you have the time and or desire too, but personally I prefer SR over DOSBox.

Though I prefer OpenXcom for playing X-com if you ever have interest in that but I digress.

Thanks for the heads up. I've installed it and it works for me. What I very much like is that you can reassign the arrow keys to WSAD in the config file.
My only complaint is that it doesn't fix my biggest problem with DosBox Albion: The screen getting very blurry when you move around. Even if another character moves, while you stand still their sprite is blurry until they come to a standstill.
Is there anything in the Display settings I could change to make that better? So far I left them at default expect for fullscreen.

not really, I think its just the nature of the game at that point feel free to experiment with the settings and report back what worked best for you, good luck and enjoy the world of Albion!
