The version available on GOG is at RC 1.00 the developer has NOT provided good with the RC 1.12 version for GOG it is only on steam at the moment.

Thanks for the info. A couple of years ago the dev included a DRM-free version of Albedo in a Humble Bundle I bought. They put up the then-current RC 1.10, and then proceeded to never update it. I was wondering if the GOG version had fared better, but since it was released here earlier, it's even further behind...

Seems like they're one of those devs that occasionally pays lip-service to selling a DRM-free version, but only actually supports the DRM'ed product. :-(

Thanks Lord_Kane. The game looked pretty neat, so this is disappointing, but I really can't support a developer who won't provide their patches to all of their distributors.
