Is there a way of taking a screenshot in Alan Wake? If I use the print screen key, all I get is black.

Pretty much the only thing you'll ever need for screenshots.

Yeah, I was playing it fullscreen, doing prt scr, then alt-tab out to paste it into paint, before alt tabbing back into it, but I just tried taking screenshots while it was windowed and that worked just fine too, both the full desktop including AW window(Prt Scr), and just the AW client window(Alt-Prt Scr). Although the first time I did it for some reason the mouse got stuck in the upper left corner of the window when I alt-tabbed out, so I had to use keyboard input to paste it in paint.

Guys, Fraps is free. You assign a key for taking screenshots and the pics are stored in a folder of your choice without any need to Alt Tab out/in to paste each screen individually. As a bonus it comes with FPS counter, other benchmarking tools and video capture, all of which you can make use of if you want or not if you're really just interested in pics.

Did i mention it's free yet ? ;)

Seriously, try it and after 3 or 4 pics you'll realize how cumbersome is it to rely on print screen for ingame screenshots.

Yeah, I've got fraps, but I mostly just use it for video., and it's not free :p, well I guess for screenshots it is, or up to 30sec vid clips. Besides fraps ONLY takes the active window if you're playing it windowed, instead of the entire desktop.

well i think you can add alan wake to your steam account and then F12 for screenshot...

That's what I did -- add Alan Wake (GOG) as a Non-Steam Game. :D
