Is this the same PC-Port as the release on Steam (most likely I believe) or was the game overworked for GOG (I hope) ?

To add to this, will I need AkibaInterceptor utility for unlocking 60 FPS and the resolution, or did they patch this in?

The AkibaInterceptor exclusively tries to open the Steam version. Since I bought it here on GOG, this is kind of useless to me. I'm not rebuying the game just to try the Interceptor program to see if it'll work the way I want it to or not. They need to update it so I can pick either Steam or GOG. I don't even know why it tries to launch it that way anyway. If a game has to open through Steam it normally opens if you try to open the game EXE anyway.

I don't know how to code, so this utility is useless to me unless they update it to fix this issue.

AkibaInterceptor is no longer required. The GOG version just got updated with such functionalities. Both resolution and framerate are now unlocked. Tho i should warn that 60fps mode does break lip sync during dialogues.

EDIT: Update is currently Galaxy only. Offline installer should be updated as well soon enough.

Played a bit with 60fps and downsampling on GOG. Unfortunately the entry on pcgamingwiki

"The game is playable at 60 FPS, but some actions are affected, e.g. menu navigation becomes faster, button smash QTEs require faster button pressing and inputs are registered per frame, so shorter button presses are registered as button holding."

Is true even in 60fps and after a while the game went from completely smooth to stuittering when I chose a high resolution. Also the higher framerates will break lip syncing. So none of the improvements are coming without downside.
