Mimo: It's a good thing too since the first 25 days of the winning chart is all green and I was doing very poorly. Looking at the structure chart, the Elves were maintaining a pretty big lead until almost day 50 when it looks like you hit a limit on your growth. (As I PM'd, you'd have done better killing the humans off and annexing their lands.)
Yeah, that's where I probably lost it. I wasn't sure what to do, I was toying with going into Shadow Realm or with killing Humans and then rejected both. If I just turned west as I did after this empty period, I would probably got all those west cities faster than mimo and he wouldn't be able to surprise my heroes.
Mimo: Re: City Spy - Really? You couldn't see my units due to the Darkness? That sucks. Makes that spell pretty useless.
Yeah, I was really gutted when I learnt it's useless.
Mimo: Re: Reserves - Yeah, I figured you were stockpiling since you had not attacked in quite awhile. I too was stockpiling and had four full stacks next to teleportation gates ready to respond. They included a couple of fully kitted Level 15 heroes...
My problem was I spent too much money to recover from your initial attack and although I tried to appear as I had no trouble, in reality I ended each turn with less than 100 gold and when I recruited heroes, I wasn't able to build dragons and when I was building dragons in 2 cities at once, I wasn't able to build anything else.
Mimo: Overall that was a fun game. Happy that my first ever AoW multiplayer game was a success! Now we all get to start saving money for the next edition of the game.
Yeah, I liked it as well. Although I lost, it was fun to play it. It would be better if more people survived longer, but this was quite unforgiving map.
Mimo: Good luck fixing your drive. I went through that with my laptop a few weeks ago and used it as an excuse to upgrade to an SSD. Wow is all I can say about that switch.
Thanks, but my drive wasn't actually broken. It's my own fault that I am using virtual Extended Capacity Drive as storage for my games. It tends to suddenly disapper sometime and I have to reboot. I tried to finally solve it (because once it disappeared completely) and ended with not being able to make it reappear at all. So I had to use Recuva to locate them all, then recover them to another drive and then copy them back where they belong. And it broke a lot of games because it broke their paths and more than 200000 files from various games (at least 11) ended in one directory.
