Halflings, Day 62

Yadda, Yadda, Yadda, Yadda, Yadda, Yadda. At least this many Yaddas Azracs control. Only it's Yaka. It is only good they waste their turns chasing my scouts. Otherwise we or dwarves would be in big troubles.
We treated dwarves army with another altar. This should do it for now and we should be able to remove remaining part of their invasion force.
Elsewhere we had to tend to several small Azrac incursions. They biger group turned away... to bother someone else, but I fear they will return as I scattered my defence again.
Meanwhile dwarven leader started to capture surface remnants of human empire. They were spreading lies about us and frostlings ensalving human cities and now they started their own attack and slaughtered garrison of town which joined us willing in hopes of protection.
We are sorry that we failed, but we promise to come back and liberate them again before dwarves manage to destroy their town.
We are also very surprised about dwarven-goblin alliance. Who could expect this? /sarcasm

Dwarves, Day 62

The withering assault of the altars has driven our forces underground once again. The Halflings must have spent a very large amount of mana to fire them all off so rapidly. We launched an attack on the Frostlings in the caverns that met with disaster as well. The Azracs are still pumping out those Yaka avatars at a rapid rate. One wonders how they can afford it.

Goblins, Day 63

All action, no words.

TS
Frostlings, Day 63

We threw our lives away in an attempt to rid us of a Dwarven hero.

Turn sent (automatically).
This... is.... I need... rest... not playing now.
*Shrugs*
Halfings, Day 63

Sigh.
We are all doomed.

Turn sent.

Stupid internet. It took me longer to send the game and post this than to play my turn.
Dwarves, Day 63

Menfir the Elf was quite surprised to defeat a leader twice his experience. To the victor go the spoils. There were so many spoils he could not even carry them all. A new gold rush has begun. Just as the Frostling, Halfling and Dwarven units began to converge on the former Human realm an entirely new realm is up for the pickings. The rush is on.

Goblins, Day 64

It's not often that I manage the pathetic little brother in a game, but poor Rok is left to pick up only the smallest crumbs here in the land of the Banned.

TS
Halflings, Day 64

I am afraid I overlooked somehing quite important. We will see what next turn brings.
It looks like Azracs will finally manage to push me out of thier realm. I hope everyone is grateful to me that I held them at bay with only few units. Let's hope they won't turn their attention towards me now. We did it for common good after all.

Turn sent.

Dwarves, Day 64

We have suffered our share of casualties keeping the Azracs at bay. Our leader has marched triumphantly through the gate of the former Human capital. We have liberated most of their realm except the towns occupied by evil races. The Halfings beat us in the race to the Frostling capital however. They have also invaded the caverns once again, smashing through my defences. This war is far from over.

Yay, the human capital is saved. <3
Goblins, Day 65

We move super slowly.

ooc: I must admit that AoW1 is not growing on me. Maybe it's because I never did the campaign and "got into it".
Halflings, Day 65

We saved Human capital long time ago. Unfortunately it was unsaved since then.
We partially wasted this turn by doing bad move. We managed to defend stolen city from Azracs from 2 Yakas by killing their elephant. Yipie!
We finally need to find way to obtain Lizard capital, we could use their units, but it would be easier if there wasn't more than 30 units guarding it.

Turn sent.

I, on the other hand, find this game more appealing than the SM ones.

Dwarves, Day 65

Not much accomplished today. Trying to maintain good relations with the Azrac and Lizard people is hard when you are at war with both of their rulers.

OOC: Maybe it is a nostalgia factor for me since I've been playing AoW1 since release. I didn't care for 2 much and never tried SM until earlier this year. I just finished the campaign for 2 and am working through SM so I may join some multiplayer once I get the hang of it. I like the strategic level of movement in AoW1 a lot, it forces you to carefully consider your goals and manage your resources.
