Vitek: I am not really sure what was the reason for restart, but we should all (including me) cease to do it already, unless it's for technical reasons. Crashes or similar stuff.
It makes people distrust and suspect each other.

Also, why don't you sign up for Wenne's game?

Halflings, Day 24

One of our precious eagles is dead, but we destroyed orc scouts and dark elven catapult army.
Yeah and I just remembered, I forgot to explore dungeon. :-/ I ended my turn on it, so I got no prompt when I surfed through remaining armies.

Turn sent.
I used tactical combat as usual and I had pinpointed out exactly how I would attack. The only fault in the plan was that I did not see that I had not moved my two archers, which is pretty stupid.
Never ever would I restart if I fought against another player. If I make a mistake or mess up, that's my fault and I have to suck it up.

I do not think it is as stupid as what I or the Frostlings did but it is clearly stupid. I am worried what this may indicate for Santeria's health as she may be developing some kind of brain disease. As for my battle with the undead I think they would agree it was not a close fight. I welcome restarts from the humans in the future and hope they will cheat me.

While I actually did restart for a noob mistake, these people are clearly vastly inferior players and in addition to letting them cheat we should start a book group to help them become real people.
I won't be able to play this weekend. I will return Monday evening.
I am leaving to study game strategies to be at least a bit competent adversary to local masterminds.
I do hope you are joking about that being the reason you are leaving, you currently have the best position in the game.

Dwarves, Day 24

Our leader William the Wise has defeated a mighty beholder in one on one combat and he didn't even have to run away once. The Highmen have a very large army and a fleet which we did have to run away from very fast.

OOC: Can we all agree to stop restarting turns because of mistakes? Battles are won and lost by mistakes, empires rise and fall by them. Yes, it sucks when they happen. There are countless things that can be easily overlooked. I forgot to cast haste on my ram and it failed to reach its goal in time, I forgot to enchant my weapon before facing an air elemental, I forgot to position a stack to flank in a battle, etc. These little mistakes are part of what makes things interesting. They are part of playing any game. It is said that experience is the lesson learned too late. I have been defeated in the past because my enemies exploited my mistakes and made me pay for them. It made me a better player and made me want to face those same opponents again to test my skills. So can we promise to chalk up our mistakes to experience and just do better next time? By playing honorably and treating each other with respect it will make this game (and future games) a lot more fun.

I wasn't going to do it again, but I would ask you to name empires losing on mistakes. I am more familiar with history outside of Europe, but all the empires I know of lost on incorrect fundamentals.
Undead, Day 24

Humans, Day 25

Both the frostlings and dwarves are blocking our way. Cutting off reinforcement routes. Though are they blocking us or are we blocking them. It's all in the eyes of the beholder.

That's funny. I actually have to given a presentation next month at an conference on the applications of game theory to my work world. The focus will be on imperfect information which is also the branch of game theory most applicable to this game. It's the most appropriate to my work too which might explain why I like my day job...
Goblins, Day 25
Dug to an independent 3-hex three town. Removed Dwarven scout.

BlaneckW: My restart was not intended as a cheat, but I welcome cheating from others. I would request that the Frostling cheat. If they restart enough times they may defeat invincible dragon which they mindlessly attack.
True that. Please note the dragon was nearly slain twice, in both times it only took one more stab or shot...

Haste on a battling ram... WHY didn't I ever think of that?!

I enjoy spectating, although I don't think I should play any more PBEMs for now. It would only be fun if I were to restart every turn to attain the most favourable outcome - still, I would likely lose. So, live and let live (pretty please).

I saw many dark elves just now, roaming near my cities, where did they go?!

You know I didn't think you were serious with the name nick the noob.
Halflings, Day 25

We explored the dungeon and liberated nice glowing fellow. We used him immediately to slain Lizard hero and with someone else we murdered lizard army. We are going wrong way, though. We would be much more succesful, if we decided to go another way few turns back.

Dwarves, Day 25

We had some fun jumping around through teleporters today, but didn't accomplish much else.
