according to the GiantBomb http://www.giantbomb.com/age-of-wonders/61-18414/credits/ one of Guerrilla Game`s co-founder, Arjan Brussee who later made the Killzone franchise worked on this game! couldn`t find out what part he did but i know he`s now working on killzone 3 and a new-ip with Guerrilla game.
should i buy it even if i am not into strategie game?

Probably not. This is a deep strategy title.
But if you only have played real time strategy games before and no turn-based maybe you could enjoy this as turn-based strategy games are totally different from realtime strategy games.
