Elves - Day 4 in Menuir

Unexpected turn of events. Both Dwarves and Highmen offer us peace? Dwarves are clear about their terms and after reading the agreement through few times and getting confirmation that they will hold true to same terms, signing is a clear choise. Highmen suggest no terms, and considering the recent events in Menuir, we worry about the intentions masked behind such agreement. Yet we promised to answer sword with a sword and dove with a dove, so dove it is. Maybe there is hope for diplomatic solution after all?

Didn't know I had the turn since there was no turn log.
Halflings, Day 4

We shall enter the caverns - allowing Goblins to prosper under our feet is unwise.
Dwarfs, Day 4

Another day, another fool. This time the halflings enter our realm. Let us hope they are as interested in peace as our elven neighbours. The bloodaxe itches but we will not attack old friends without warning.
Highmen, day 4

The road has a blockade to the south, do these elves not know of our righteous mission? Resources are scarce, we look westward.

Elves - Day 5 in Menuir

The fragile peace has opened us an opportunity to focus on banishing the evil that has spread beneath Menuir. We claim one goblin invasion point and start to examine their spread at the tunnels altogether. Meanwhile, we point the path for a Highmen scout towards home. History dictates our low trust in their intentions.

Halflings, Day 5

The Dwarves have refused entry to our emissaries, and we replied in kind. Yet I think think we can make peace on such a basis, if they agree on where the border should lie. And hopefully they don't hear about the little dwarven hamlet we conquered today - they would not accept our rule, but they are in our land, and we cannot abide potential infiltrators running free and armed in our lands, while other close up their territories.
Dwarfs, Day 5

We have reached an understanding with the free folk of the northern valley. We shall not cross the river north into halfing lands and neither shall we cross east into elven territory. In exchange both are willing to respect our peace. Hopefully the Highmen and the Elves can come to an understanding soon and we may return to times of peace, friendship and prosperity.

Elves - Day 6 in Menuir

We hope that the Dwarves understand the depth of the agreement made and hold true to it. Out watchtower has spotted a scout crossing the Southern mountain pass towards our Realm. Perhaps it is a test to see, whether we take the agreement seriously? Morning dawn will banish the shadow and reveal the truth that was masked into dark of night. Perhaps not us ugly as it seems.

Dwarfs, Day 6

These surely are times of mistrust among old friends. As our scouts take guarding positions at the mountain pass our elven friends suspect us to break into their lands. Ha! A dwarf would rather eat his boots then knowingly break a contract he signed in good faith.

As I write these lines I receive word from a new enemy in these dark times. the underground seems to be seething with goblins. We will have to go down their and make sure to clear out all their holes before they become to many to deal with.

And who knows where their tunnels may go? I hope this won't cause any more trouble with our neighbours.
Highmen, Day 6

Strong enforcement of law requires strong economic foundation. The forests are untamed and thwart the progress of our missionaries.

Elves - Day 7 in Menuir

As we flood through the Highmen lands, we make contact with Halflings. We offer peace, for we believe that is their goal too. Meanwhile the Highmen missionary still persists in our land, which irritates us. The militarist faction in the Elven Court keeps on reminding us of their dictate that saw our brethren banished, but a strong coalition of loyalist, merchant and diplomatic factions is keeping their edicts suppressed.

Edit: Will be celebrating Midsummer for days! Will be back on Monday 24th.

Dwarfs, Day 7

Our lands have always been hard to navigate. In these times it makes fast reactions to new threats like the goblins slow and arduous. But slowly and surely our troops will reach the goblin village.
Elves - Day 8 in Menuir

Peace has been agreed with Halflings and through it, it seems Menuir is at uneasy peace. We came across Highmen crusaders who were about to massacre an Elven village. With the failure of the negotiations with the local separatists, prince liberated the free folk and put them under protection of Elven banner. No conversion of our people will take place in our watch!

Halflings, Day 8

We explore the caves further.
