Humans, Day 1

We send scouts in every direction and bolster our gold production. The siege weapons are slow enough that my troops will catch up with them on the road to battle before the enemy is met. Hopefully.

Great stuff thanks :)
Can you confirm which rules you use, think I saw it was somewhere on heavengames. Also which mod precisely is it, I've been using 1.4.

To be honest, I'm pretty sure Southern started this one in MPE by accident. It really alters the power dynamics of a crap ton of units and none of us are very experienced using it! Freaking swordsmen with Block V (+5 Def) become very tough critters...

For the base game, update to 1.4. Link.

There is a 1.5 patch out, but it's still really new and hasn't become the default yet.

Then add the MPE mod via this Link.

It'll create a separate "game start" icon and program file. And the email wrapper knows the difference, so when you click on a game file, it will start in the correct program.

Units with different stats would be interesting. But I have several wrapper games on the go with my brother atm, would adding this mod stop me from being able to carry on with them do you know?

It does not, it has a separate excecutable.

MPE is treated as an entirely separate game, just like the wrapper handles AoW1 and AoW2 separately.

And yeah I did forget and started this in MPE absentmindedly, thanks for your patience. MPE is good though.
I'll try and install it today, maybe it will somehow fix my manual combat issue!
Installed the patch, got it working single player, doesn't seem to appear on my wrapper though?

Couldn't pick it up with the wrapper but got it from the email, think it may have sent with the wrapper though, let me know?

It's aarrived for me. Maybe the wrapper will find your MPE install when the turn comes back to you, or you might need to reinstall the wrapper... sorry!

Humans, Day 2

A good day. Though all of our attacks against some defenders were futile, the defenders jabs back at us were also futile. Was a pillow fight for a turn or three before we finally decided to stick the pointy end into the bad guys.

Onward!

Wrapper seems to be working fine now thanks. Day 2 TS, on day 3 I'll be trying to do a manual combat to see if somehow it works on MPE. So a good chance it will crash and I'll have to restart my turn, just giving a heads up :)
Humans, Day 3

In the immortal words of Pitbull... We saw, we conquered, we came.

I see some berserkers coming my way. Shame I bought a Draconian Shaman with most of my money without realising how expensive they are. Have they gone up in price, or do inns now inflate prices...

TS

Also, I did two manual combats, and no problems. I cannot remotely understand it, but it seems with MPE my manual combat works for PBEM, and my 1.4 doesn't. Which gets rid of my best excuse of why I will lose...

MPE does claim to fix a lot of bugs! Never heard of the one you experienced, though. And yeah, I think taverns have a 50% unitcost markup.
