What was that actually? I'm during the "hall of heroes" mission and never experienced something like that in previous maps. Teleporting enemies out of nowhere would seem to be over the top. How are you suppose to defend youself?

Yes, teleport exits are unmarked. You just have to learn of their location the hard way.

It won't happen that often in the campaign.

That's the teleporter entrance. The exit can be anywhere. Usually it is another teleporter entrance, but not always.
One strategy is to build a tower at the exit location. It's not foolproof, but it will stop most randomly wandering units
