I have recently run into an issue where AVG will flag the Dungeon Rats exe file 'launcher_dr.exe' as a Trojan.

You will need to exclude this file from being scanned otherwise you will not be able to play the game:

in AVG:

1. Go to Options, Advanced Settings. 3rd from the top, select Temporarily Disable AVG protection. Do so for 10 minutes. This first part is done so you can actually download Dungeon Rats again if you need to - so you can get to the file. If AVG got to the file first, it will be deleted from the Dungeon Rats folder.
2. Still in the 'Advanced Settings' section in AVG, select 'Exceptions'.
3. Select 'Add exception'. Under Exception type, select appication of file.
4. Click, 'Browse' and find your Dungeon Rats folder. Locate and select 'Launcher_DR.exe'.
5. Confirm your selection and okay where needed.
6. Exit out of AVG, you should be done!
