One of the top rated reviews on GOG says we got censored version of this game with missing content. Why on earth would we want to have this crippled version?
The scene in question apparently violates EU child porn laws (which, unlike those of the US, include drawn images). GOG is based in the EU, so they're not allowed to host the uncensored version.

This is stupid as there is no child porn in any form, only barely ecchi and ecchi is not adult themes or full revealing nudity. Even eroge ones like lolicon aren't that category as they are drawings, works of fiction, not pictures or movies from real life but these dumb politics can't see difference between fiction and reality. If someone treats them as the same then has heavy mental disorder.

You can make a GTA game with characters torturing, fucking..
But no you can't see the belly of a supposed <18 girl drawing.

Go figure.

I'd be interested to know if the full version with all the dlcs (except the censored one of course) will be made available.
Agarest 1 and Agarest 1 collector's edition were published on the same day, so it doesn't sound good.

There was no full dlc version for Agarest 0, so i assume same situation will be with Agarest 2.

Not a really big loss though, those dlc were mostly cheats.

Ah yes you are right.

Though there are extra characters in the dlcs right?

We usually get full untouched copies on GOG, and we got an incomplete and censored version.. How nice.

I think there was additional character in Agarest 2, but nothing big content-wise.

I don't like censorship too, but we had little choice - either we have Agarest 2 censored version or we don't have any - this can't be changed by Ghostlight, this is the law. And to be honest, I can see the reasons for censorship. On other side, there are games here on GOG with much more explicit ... "things" ... which went past the censorship radar :))

I guess Agarest, being famous for its fanservice elements, was easy pick for censorship... I just looked at that one censored minigame on youtube, oh my... I think Agarest makers really went overboard with this one...
Not so overboard as dialogues like breeding mares, owning somene's body, treating like meat etc but yeah, dialogues were also edited to remove any sexual innuendos or traces of healthy relationship, moving into area of animal-esque mating rituals. But yeah, better that version or no AGoW2 at all. ;-)

Sadly... still - PiranJade said that she didn't notice too much content cut, so... It's not that bad as they say. Minus the massage loli. :P

'I can see the reasons for censorship'

How is it ever acceptable to censor something? You can't be a grown-up and decide what you will and won't look at?

For the sake of games and lots of other things, I sincerely hope that the EU doesn't exist much longer.

I sincerly doubt that disbanding of EU would change it - this is something on much lower base. Just as stereotypical view of games, as a way to produce murderes and serial killers. You know, like it always is in TV - a teen shoot his dad and suddenly it's the fault of video games that they find in his room. And after this there is shitstorm that games should be censored or banned... no one talk more about that this teen was abused by his father, that the said father left a loaded gun, unprotected. But no, of course it's the video games fault...
tl;dr - EU has nothing really to do about it - if not the EU, then your local government will do the same, unless people actually start thinking.
Isn't there a fan patch or something to restore the naughty bits? That's what happened with Fallout 2, which had killable children removed in some versions.

Just curious. I don't even own the game and I don't know anything about it.
Ask: Are there alternative in it as replace for censorshipment?
Because there are lees option to get Bad or Positive change by followers?
Or is a Overwork for User like me with Mouse and Keybord in view? (the Numpad is worst for the minigames.)

From what I heared there is something to even the possible changes in influence over followers from cut content, but don't know how exactly.

Raising affection with Fiona (part of True End) was supposed to be done with use of minigame, with it being removed, Fiona's affection gain rate was increased to make up for it.

Even if you will manage to screw affection (it is easier to screw True End by missing some vital event though), you can raise it by using the required char in comabt, and fight, fight, fight until her affection raises.
