Does ADOM support "game seeds"?
I have another question about "Rescue the Cute Dog" quest.
Do four days count since start of the whole game or since start of this quest?
1) No, it doesn't.

2) They count from the start of the game. You can use Ctrl+e to check the elapsed time of the game.

I hope this helps. :)

Thank you for the answers. :) Are there more such "since start of the game" time-limited quests in ADOM?

If yes, how to recognize them? :D There was no such info in description of Puppy quest, I've found it accidentally.

I've only played the game years ago, and the free version (one downloadable from adom.de), but as far as I recall, at least in this quest, the little girl tells you to 'please hurry" or so. Might be other quests imply the need for haste, too.

And my own question: as far as I recall, one version of ADOM made it so that you get more and more corrupted while playing at the Casino (something I really didn't like) - is it possible to turn that specific thing off? (somewhere in the new game's settings or so?)

Well, even if she is then still there is no mention about "4 days" (how should I know that without reading wiki or forum?) and (this is more important and quite unusual for me) that these days count since start of the game. That's why I would like to know if there are more of such cases. :)

As far as I remember, no, that's the only such quest.

Well, time limited anyway.

MINOR SPOILERS AHEAD, READ AT YOUR OWN RISK. (also mind that my knowledge might be obsolete, seeing as I played the game years and versions ago)

The quest from the village's sheriff (I don't remember his name anymore) to kill some raider (Kranach, I think), is limited by your experience level - once you reach level six (I think), the raider gets afraid of you, and moves elsewhere.

That's a tutorial piece of sorts, btw, as there are at least two other locations (I think), which are level-limited. For at least one of them you're also told to hurry (in an invitation, no details, as I'll try to spare you at least some spoilers). The other one I think I never really cleared, and only went there once or twice, so can't tell you much about it (I don't remember how to find out about it, I think I "cheated" and looked it up on the Internet after I've read the location's name somewhere).

Other than that, the main quest is sort of time-sensitive: after I think 90 in-game days, the amount of background Chaos radiation increases, making you accumulate corruptions faster. I have no idea, if it's a one-time increase, or continuous and gradual one, though.

piranha1: The quest from the village's sheriff
Ugh, I tried more than 10 times to rescue the puppy (all of them were like "restart game, go to the village, take quest, go to the dungeon" without any bigger delays) and the only one time I made it it was after 3 days 11 hours and I was on 12 character level already so no chance to find this Kranach after that. :D

Well, the reward for killing the raider isn't all that special, gold I think (useful, sure, but nothing very exceptional) and maybe Amulet of Order (Law?), but I don't remember, when do you get it, maybe when you're Lawful?
