I've found a solution for mouse problem on Mac somewhere in internet. The solution is to switch to window mode. Hope this helps
I had no problems with my Macbook Pro, but it perhaps the fact I installed linux/gnu on it changes something.
I have the same issue on a MacBook Pro, neither the touch-pad nor the mouse work within the menus. Daedalic has a really poor track record when it comes to releasing games on the Mac. I had endless issues with the Deponia series too. Game breaking bugs and user interface issues everywhere.

This needs to be fixed. I'm personally never buying a Daedalic game again, I'm just absolutely sick of spending money on broken games.
I had the exact same problem (I'd been running 10.7.5 till recently), but it seems to be fixed now that I've upgraded to Mavericks.
