Any idea where, if anywhere the in-game (not Galaxy) screenshots are getting saved? They're not in any of the ordinary places I looked, nor where the INI file implied they would be.

Yeah, I checked there too. Along with My Documents, My Pictures, and Saved Games. No dice yet. Thanks for responding.
That interests me, too.
Have searched for a folder but can't find anything.

couldn't find either.
From looking around various sources, I conclude that this is probably a bug in the GOG version as I saw no other place mentioning anything about photo mode or where the files end up (except 1 post on steam forums regarding this from a GOG user). I'm assuming the game uses Steams built in screenshot function when you take a photo, hence it does nothing on the GOG version.

Yuep, We should warn them about this.

Have you checked under the games' location in the GOG Games folder? There might be a special section for it there

Yep, that's where the INI file implied they'd be under A Hat in Time\HatinTimeGame\ScreenShots but no dice. I even tried making the folder to see if it would help. Before the question comes up, this is on a separate drive without UAC issues. And the paths in the INI file are relative, not absolute. So unless the game doesn't recognise relative paths... Thanks for the answer too.

I think you're right about it being a bug, but I don't personally think it's Steam-related. Of course I can't prove that, but them having a specific INI path for screenshots kind of points that way.

I brought the issue to the devs' attention a few days ago, and they've identified the issue. They said we can expect a fix by next week.
Thank you for keeping us in the loop, fluxlizard.
Did you mention that you've bought the game through gog.com? Otherwise they might have referred to the Steam version...
I did, and they told me they were unaware of the issue because it isn't present in the Steam version. Apparently there was supposed to be a "screenshots" folder in the "HatinTimeGame" folder in the install directory, but no such folder exists. Then I was told that the issue had been identified and to expect an update by next week, so let's cross our fingers!

Sorry for bumping this old thread, but I'm still experiencing problems witth this even with the latest update. There's a screenshot folder now in the game's directory but it's empty no matter how many pictures I take with the camera badge in-game.

Anyone else having this?

Yep, I still have that issue. They released a patch that was supposed to fix it, but it doesn't seem to have successfully worked.

It's truly remarkable how long the devs are ignoring this issue. I have sent 3 emails to them linking to each thread stating this issue and yet I haven't heard anything from them apart from that they can not reproduce the issue at their end. There is a thread on Steam about it and it's mentioned on the Discord channel of the game as well.

Perhaps one can try the screenshot function with the new Windows April Update?
